Barbara has over 25 years of experience in such areas as practice valuations, mergers and acquisitions, hospital-physician arrangements, physician compensation arrangements, strategic planning, buy-sell agreements, tax planning, and financial and billing performance.  She has valued practices for sales, mergers, buy-outs and divorces, recruited and trained medical group business managers and provided litigation support in various medical settings.  Barbara is accredited in business valuations by the Institute of Business Appraisers.  She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Georgia Society of CPAs, Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Georgia MGMA, District of Columbia MGMA, Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA), and Southeast Chapter of IBA.  She is on the faculty of the American College of Physician Executives, has written articles and is a frequent lecturer for the MGMA and others on topics affecting physicians.  Barbara holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Taxation from Southeastern University.
