CLIA

The Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) were passed by Congress in 1988 to establish quality standards for all laboratories. The Food and Drug Administration oversees the classification of tests for CLIA purposes, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provides financial management. Any practice that performs lab services needs to obtain the appropriate CLIA certificate-level based on test complexity. We can assist you with determining the appropriate level and submit the necessary paperwork for your practice to become certified.
